At the Queens County Museum there are many opportunities to become part of the scene.  Whether your interest is in history, volunteering, social committees or any other area we have a place for you.  Call or e-mail today to find out information about any of the following opportunities.

 

Queens County Historical Society Member


Membership Fees    $10 Single     $12 Family  Expires yearly on December 31st
Monthly Meetings with Guest Speakers (except for June, July and August)
Meetings are the third Wednesday of every month and are open to the public for free at 3:00 p.m.
Free access to the Thomas Raddall Research Centre and quarterly Newsletter with paid membership (newsletter is subject to availability)

Queens County Museum Board of Trustees

(This position is subject to availability and is on a volunteer basis. Please call for more information if you are interested in becoming a Board Member)


Help plan the Museum’s future by becoming a part of the Board of Trustees. On the Board you will be part of the daily mechanics of the Museum and get an inside peak as to how the Museum operates.
Meetings are bi-monthly (February, April, June, August, October, December)at 7:30 p.m. These meetings are not open to the public.

Committees


These positions are open to all Board Members and members of the public and are on a volunteer basis. These committees help organize the important tasks which keep the Museum functioning.
Ways & Means- fundraising
Strategic Planning Committee- keeps the Museum up to date on necessary policies, public awareness and image in the community
Programming- creates activities for the public on a family and school aged level to implement through the year.
These meetings do not always have a fixed meeting time.  If you are interested in becoming a part of one of these committees please call for more information.

Volunteer


Would you just like to be able to drop in and help with a task at your convenience with no structured meetings? We have something for you too!  Currently we have volunteers who catalogue artifacts, help with customers, data entry, committees, events, cleaning and much more.  Call or drop in today to become an important part of the Museum
